Back Together with our client Bever Car Products b.v., TRICAS has developed a new addition to optimize the driving experience for people with physical limitations.
This optimized clamp is intended to attach an aid to the steering wheel of a car, allowing users to drive with increased safety, comfort and confidence.
The motivation behind this development was to implement several improvements compared to existing products, such as interchangeability and visual compatibility with Bever’s Smartsteer Classic and Premium products. Given the growing diversity of car brands, models, and steering wheel designs, creating a product that is both appealing and safe across all possible combinations presents a significant challenge. Moreover, this product is designed to be operable with just one hand.
Based on initial analyses of usage, identity, and technology, TRICAS proposed a redesign. Working collaboratively with Bever, various product variants were simulated, prototyped, analyzed, tested, and optimized. This iterative process resulted in a production-ready design, now integrated into Bever’s product range. This project demonstrates our company’s involvement from concept to production-ready end product.
