It’s party time at TRICAS! As one of the first companies in the Netherlands, we have expanded our 3D printer fleet with the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W.
Financial director/senior product engineer Martijn Slettenhaar explains why this is good news for TRICAS and for our clients: “The Formlabs Fuse 1+ is an upgraded SLS 3D printing system that allows us to take accelerated steps in our in-house development process.”

Martijn emphasizes that the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W is a wonderful addition to the AM capabilities that TRICAS already possessed, such as various 3D printers with FDM, MJP and SLA 3D printing techniques.
‘Thanks to the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W, we devise a concept on day 1 and print this concept that same evening/night and test it the very next day. This makes it possible to make any improvements as early as day 2 and reprint the modified concept that same evening/night, and so on.’

Suitable for specific applications
Previously, TRICAS had to outsource this SLS printing process to external parties, which was very time consuming.
Martijn: ”Now that we can make these SLS prints in-house with the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W, the development process has become much more efficient. An additional advantage is that we can now also use carbon filled or glass filled Nylon prints for very specific applications. This is why we are excited about the arrival of our Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W!”
